Instant Shape Size Chart

Our sizing chart below is to be used with your body measurements. "Instant Shape" corsets are rated to a 2" Waist Reduction and are to be worn with at least a 2" gap at the back. This is already factored in to our size chart. Simply select the Corset Size that corresponds with Your Natural Waist Measurement.  

Corsets are fully adjustable at the back. You can "Open" or "Close" the lacing at the Bust, Waist & Hip independently for the perfect fit. Our patterns have been developed and tested to fit a variety of body shapes using these adjustments.

The majority of the tension running through a corset is focused on the waist. This makes the waist the critical measurement when sizing your corset. The hip and bust can be "Opened" or "Closed" to fit provided the waist is accurate.

Description

Inspired by 17th century corsetry, this pretty piece by Corset Story uses a historically accurate pattern to recreate the look loved by the aristocracy of the era. A sharp shade of peach adds a punchy feel, while satin lace-up details echo its period appeal. Its cinched frame comes courtesy of traditional corset styling, including boning that reduces the waist size by up to 4 inches.

We’ve used modern methods to achieve this hourglass silhouette, ensuring it remains comfortable. LARP costuming will transport it back in time, or pair it with body-hugging denim for a contemporary spin.

This is a beautiful garment but I am very tall (6’1”) and the shoulders straps were too short for me. making it impossible to get the corset fully on or for it to fit my body correctly.

The front lacing is decorative. A huge disappointment.

The top of the lacing was all the way closed but the waist had several inches gap. I am rather busty so I was surprised the top was so roomy but the waist wasn't.

The straps would raise up the corset in a unflattering matter. When relaxes the straps would just be all up in the air I wish you could adjust them.
