Instant Shape Size Chart

Our sizing chart below is to be used with your body measurements. "Instant Shape" corsets are rated to a 2" Waist Reduction and are to be worn with at least a 2" gap at the back. This is already factored in to our size chart. Simply select the Corset Size that corresponds with Your Natural Waist Measurement.  

Corsets are fully adjustable at the back. You can "Open" or "Close" the lacing at the Bust, Waist & Hip independently for the perfect fit. Our patterns have been developed and tested to fit a variety of body shapes using these adjustments.

The majority of the tension running through a corset is focused on the waist. This makes the waist the critical measurement when sizing your corset. The hip and bust can be "Opened" or "Closed" to fit provided the waist is accurate.

Navy Eyelet Corset Dress

The dress is pretty and seems to be well made, but there are a couple of issues.

1) It is WAY shorter than it looks in the pictures on the website. I can get around that by wearing some bike shorts under it, but I wouldn’t wear it without them.

2) It is WAY too big. I put my measurements in the size guide and purchased the size recommended (I do theatre, and I have my accurate measurements from our costumer), but I should have gotten one or two sizes smaller. I can put it on without undoing the lacing (with the lacing at its tightest), so it provides no shaping or support. I know there are no returns, and it’s still a cute dress, so I’m hoping to take it in a little to make it more wearable.

Ignore the knock-offs

My wife and I were shopping for corsets for her for several very specific reasons. This was her first time owning corsets other than maybe something that was part of a costume.

Being new to the market, she wanted to dip her toe into the corset world by getting more corsets from a big online marketplace (you know who I mean). I argued for going straight to quality. So she ordered from the market place and I ordered the same $ amount from corset story,

The difference between the two products is night and day. The quality of the Corset Story corsets is light years above the marketplace products. My wife is genuinely excited that she can wear the Corset Story all day and be comfortable. The other products felt cheap, lob sided, or otherwise uncomfortable.

Needless to say, the marketplace products are going back and we will be repeat Corset Story customers.

My only complaints are that I wish the slit wasn't quite as high and that the modesty panel had a little more width. Even so, it's super cute and comfortable, and I just wear a pair of bike shorts under it for modesty.

I really like the dress it's super cute. My only concern is that it is much shorter and the slit goes higher than I was personally expecting. Overall though I can't wait for an excuse next spring/summer to wear this dress.
