Our sizing chart below is to be used with your body measurements. "Instant Shape" corsets are rated to a 2" Waist Reduction and are to be worn with at least a 2" gap at the back. This is already factored in to our size chart. Simply select the Corset Size that corresponds with Your Natural Waist Measurement.  

Corsets are fully adjustable at the back. You can "Open" or "Close" the lacing at the Bust, Waist & Hip independently for the perfect fit. Our patterns have been developed and tested to fit a variety of body shapes using these adjustments.

The majority of the tension running through a corset is focused on the waist. This makes the waist the critical measurement when sizing your corset. The hip and bust can be "Opened" or "Closed" to fit provided the waist is accurate.

Beautiful piece. The halter part sits awkwardly on me but I have an awkward body shape. Do not let that sway you from this corset. It's is amazing. Great quality and the bodice fits like a glove with ample room for size change

Measured appropriately for my waist, however, that left the bust SO LARGE that you could have fit bowling balls in the cup area. I'm not proportionate for my size. I'm 5'2", 190 lbs. My measurements are 40" bust, 41.5" waist, 44" hips. I loosened the laces to fit, and tightened as much as I could in the bust, but to no avail. Customer service was EXTREMELY HELPFUL, they asked for my measurements, and asked if I could send pictures of myself wearing the corset so they could better advice me. They recommended I order two sizes down to help with the bust. So I did. The exchange was fast (I had ordered 4 corsets total. 2 underbusts, which fit perfectly, and 2 overbusts, which did not) for the two overbust corsets. Unfortunately, while the sized down corsets did fit my busts, they did not fit my waists. I had to loosen the laces almost fully to clasp the corset shut. Also, the modesty panel didn't cover fully once so spread apart. I do not plan to return these, however. Instead, I'll make them a "goal" to reach. The corsets are very well made, and the company is easy to work with. The shipping is fast.

This corset is beautiful! It was my first purchase from Corset Story and my first corset purchase ever, actually! I was worried about the accuracy of my measurements, but the fit is beautiful....perhaps a touch bigger than I expected, but it’s been a perfect corset to learn with. The shipping time was much faster than I expected, the quality is superb and I can’t wait to order another one....I’m smitten! ❤️
